The decision to become one of the stay at home moms and raise your children is not an easy one but definitely the most important from the perspective of the child. Almost 50% of the mothers in a recent study said that they wished to stay at home so that they could spend more time with their children. Although a large number of women prefer to juggle between their career and children, there are some benefits of mom staying at home which cannot be ignored at all.

  • Stay at home moms allows the family to function better

When the mother stays at home to look after the children then she is also looking after the household, by default. No wonder, many experts are terming this as home management. There is no denying the fact that a family works better when the mother is at home. The availability and flexibility of the woman allow the family to function better.

  • A strong bond with the child is created

When you stay at home and spend a lot of time taking care of and interacting with the child, a certain bond is naturally created between the mother and the child. This bond lasts for the whole life. Another very strong argument in favor of stay at home moms is that there is a huge saving in daycare costs. When you stay at home a bond is created with the kids as you are always for them day in and day out and this has a strong and positive impact on their overall behavior and grades in school. When they are sad or emotionally down, they are not depressed as they know that you are always there to support them.

  • You can keep a track of what your child is being taught

A mother is always the first and best teacher for any child and this is always true when you stay at home with your little one. You always know what your child is learning as you can easily keep a track on what is being taught to them. This includes the ABCs, the different shapes, colors, ideals, values and even religious beliefs.
