The price of a wig depends on the quality. Human hair wigs are more expensive and require more (expensive) care than synthetic wigs. Wearing a full lace wig seems super simple, but for your own wearing comfort and to be sure that it will stay in place, there are really a few tricks that are useful to know.
Easy tips to put on a wig
Putting on a wig is easier if you follow these points. Always make sure that the hair of the wig fits snugly against your scalp. Check with a hand mirror whether the back of the wig is also correct and that no hair of your own comes out or that the wig is turned inwards.
Model your style by running your fingers through the hair or with a brush without nubs.
Feel if the elastic adjustment band is not too tight or too loose, you can adjust it in the neck by means of Velcro straps or adjustment hooks. Remove any hair from the wig that has been turned in, with your fingers under it.
Look and feel if the lace wigs is straight on both sides, this is easiest by grabbing the two ribs in front of the ear and then pulling them evenly at ear height. Bend the ribs inward to fit the wig properly.
If you have your own hair coming out from under the wig, put it back under the edge of your wig (if you still have your own hair).
With your other hand, pull the wig back over your head, or if you are holding the wig on both sides at the back, pull the wig evenly back with two hands.
Press the front edge of the wig into the place (forehead) where your hairline begins.
Take the front of the wig in one hand and the back in the other hand or take the wig on both sides at the back by the elastic adjustment straps. Determine the back of the wig by checking where the order bands are.
There is a hairspray, mousse and gel, especially for synthetic hair and for real human hair wigs.
To determine the hairline here are some tips
Take three fingers, put them horizontally against the tip of your nose: what then comes above your finger, that is the line where your eyebrows have been. Above that (eyebrows) put your three fingers horizontally again: that is where the hairline has been.
Lace –front wig
Putting on lace-front wigs is a bit different. If you want to wear this you will first have to fit and see where you want the hairline to come. After that, you need to cut some of the lace and fill the rest (if necessary) with hair. Next, you need to clean the skin on which the wig rests and then apply skin glue. Place the wig over it and make sure it is securely attached. Then you get started with concealer (or foundation) and powder to allow the hairline to blend well and neatly with your own skin.
