Indeed, Las Vegas is the city of gambling, nightlife, and fine dining. However, its notorious ‘Sin Ciy’ title is not the only one. Las Vegas is also the city of entertainment -suitable for all ages.  Maybe you didn’t know that, but Las Vegas is also a place to have fun with your family and spend some memorable days with your kids. So, if you’re planning a family trip to Las Vegas – here’s what you should know to make it fun and kid-friendly. Let’s begin this Southwest adventure that will be enjoyed by every single member of your family.

Choose kid-friendly accommodation

Your Las Vegas stay should start with choosing a place where you can stay with your kids. Choose a family-friendly hotel that includes facilities your little ones will enjoy, but that also has a convenient location close to the top Las Vegas attractions. Some of the popular hotels that work for families include:

  • Mandalay bay Resort & Casino – amazing pool area and a long lazy river, what more could you want?
  • Tahiti Village Resort & Spa – the outdoor area of this hotel is perfect for both parents and kids as it includes a sand beach entry pool, but hotels also offer many seasonal activities and spacious suites.
  • MGM Grand Hotel & Casino – families love it for the variety of pools in the Grand Pool Complex, the Topgolf attraction, and many family-friendly shows and events.

Find a hotel that will make this trip even more enjoyable – read reviews and contact travel agencies to make the best choice. However, if you decide to make Las Vegas your home, you’ll need more effort and time to find a suitable house and a team to help you move in safely. Use the internet to find the best match with a reputable Las Vegas moving team as well as a real estate agent, but check other offline sources. Get recommendations from people who have more experience with Las Vegas relocations as well as friends and family. Safety is a top priority with family moves, so be sure to trust people with experience and a positive reputation.

Sightseeing in the city – start early

There’s so much to see in Las Vegas, yet if you want to make it a kid-friendly activity, it’s best to start early. Sightseeing in the morning will ensure there’s not much crowd in the streets, and temperatures are more pleasant. Here are some sightseeing spots you shouldn’t miss in Las Vegas:

  • Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck – probably the best view of the city from one of the most interesting buildings in the city.
  • M&M’s World – located in the Showcase mall, this amazing shop will give your kids a whole new experience with the popular candy.
  • Shark Reef Aquarium – for all sea world lovers, this would be a perfect place to visit with your family. Sharks, rays, and turtles – go through the exciting tunnel under the sea.
  • Discovery Museum – the place opens at 10AM and includes fun scientific projects and creative exhibits your little explorers will love.
  • Las Vegas Natural History Museum – the place inspires both kids and adults to find out more about all life forms and the way we arrived at this moment in natural history.
  • The Strip fun – focusing on this part of Las Vegas Boulevard can bring you a  lot of fun. Check out the Excalibur Arcade games, The Coca-Cola Store, Hershey’s Chocolate World, and finally – the Fountains at Bellagio. Also, don’t forget the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens -it’s free and very interesting for kids.
  • Gondola Rides – Venetian Resort offers you a chance to experience the Italian atmosphere in both indoor and outdoor gondola rides and take a photo with a gondolier as a souvenir.
  • The Las Vegas High Roller – this is one of the favorite tourist attractions in Las Vegas, and you shouldn’t miss it on your upcoming family trip. The Las Vegas High Roller is the second largest Ferris wheel in the world, and it’s open from 4 PM for all the adventurers who want a perfect view of the city.

Go to an adventure park

Kids love adventure parks, but adults need to admit they have fun there, too. Luckily, you can choose from so many options in this city. Even though it was once only an adult-friendly destination, the number of places where you can have fun as a family has grown. We selected a few theme parks that would be great for your family trip to Las Vegas.

Circus Circus Adventuredome Theme Park

If you want your family to enjoy a bit of thrill fun, take them to the Circus Circus Adventuredome Theme Park. This 5-acre indoor theme park includes 25 rides, and it’s a perfect way to spend a couple of hours with your loved ones.

Cowabunga Vegas Water park

A water park is the ultimate way to have fun with kids. Even though it’s a 20-minute drive from the city, it’s all worth it. This is Nevada’s no.1 summer water park with exciting rides, relaxing cabanas, and delicious food.

Magical Forest

From endless summer in Cowabunga, go to a winter wonderland with millions of lights and enchanting winter installations. It’s a perfect way to experience Halloween and Christmas and the enchanting spirit of those holidays.

Go outside the city

Not all fun happens in the city center – there’s so much world to explore away from the downtown. Depending on how long is your family trip to Las Vegas, you can certainly dedicate a day to seeing the Grand Canyon. It’s approximately a 2-hour drive from the Strip, and it’s definitely worth the effort. And if you’re not in the mood for driving – you can even go on a helicopter tour.

Next, there’s Zion National Park. It’s also located relatively close to Las Vegas, and it’s perfect for families who love exploring, hiking, and nature adventures.

On S Las Vegas Boulevard towards LA, you can see a desert art installation called Seven Magic Mountains. Seven towers of colorful boulders make a popular tourist attraction and a perfect place to take pictures with your little ones.

Finally, staying outside the city center is perfect if you decide to make Las Vegas your home. Triple 7 Movers LV explains that moving with kids requires a location that’s a bit away from all the crowd, which is why families would often choose neighborhoods in Henderson or similar locations. Las Vegas is surely a family-friendly place to raise your kids, just be sure to pick a location that will suit your lifestyle.

Make this a trip to remember

Even if you don’t plan to stay for good, you can make this family trip to Las Vegas unforgettable. Plan your visits and include the kids in making decisions about the activities and attractions – you’ll make this even more fun for them.
