Dealing with kids can be troublesome when going on a road trip. To prevent chaos in the car, its best to go prepared, and keep the children occupied so that you can drive in peace.

Treasure Hunt

It is a classic game that the 90s kids used to play when there were no smartphones or tablets. Just make a list of things that the kids have to look for (through your car window), the one to find everything first, will win.

Pick Up Some Books

Books are one of the best ways of polishing your minds. Why not do at the time of a road trip? This will not only build your children’s interest in knowledge-seeking but will also keep them from screaming. This works for all ages!

What Color?

This game is perfect for the young ones who are still learning about colors. Everyone in the car will pick their favorite color and then look for all the cars of those colors. At the end of the journey, the one who has seen the most cars of that color, wins.

Snack Time

It’s not a bad idea to munch on some healthy snacks. You can prepare some beforehand, these will not only be healthy but also irresistible. You can go for mixed nuts, diced up fruits, cottage cheese, celery with cream cheese, sandwiches with yummy fillings, and so on.

Travel Games

Who doesn’t love those good old board games? At least, I do. You can buy a portable version of your favorite board game, most are even available digitally. All that remains to be done is to have fun.

Conclusion

Just keep your children busy doing something they’ll love or something productive. Either way, you’ll avoid having a mess in your car and enjoy a smooth ride while your kids have a good time. Win-win!
