Every season I try to do something with the interior and decor of my house. So that my living space always keeps fresh with new interior trends. Decorators and designers from all over the world show us decoration trends, which we can then use to make our living spaces comfortable. Here are some ideas and trends that I used for my interior.
Inspired by nature
The interior trends for this year is a comfortable appearance and it is often inspired by nature. I decorated my house with materials such as wood and accents of silver and gold to give it more appearance. To make it cosy and give it a personal touch you can use textiles with ethnic details. The idea is to add intimacy and warmth to any space, making it much more inviting to sit and receive guests.
Which materials will be used mainly in 2020?
In terms of materials, wood is becoming a trend. Pine, oak, mahogany or imitation wood will continue to be popular in 2020. Another great interior trend is glass. From glass doors, glass roofs and glass accessories. Glass is easy to combine and suits all styles. So if you are planning to give your house a makeover definitely incorporate glass.
Leather is another one of those materials that we will see in the interior decoration in 2020. While there are materials that never go out of fashion, there are also seasons when they are indispensable in the decoration and so are leather armchairs like Chesterfields, which are widely used in establishments with industrial accent.
Colour trends
The colour trends are constantly changing and in 2020 you see cheerful and sober shades, making their choice very versatile and simple. I went for the colour grey. The colour grey is still a trend because it is a neutral colour, which can be perfectly combined with vibrant colours. It can be applied on interior walls and it can be used for furniture decoration. You can also see it in carpets, textiles and on walls.
I combine the grey base with green accents the accessories and the furniture, reflected in different shades, from pastel green to emerald. This gives a delicate and elegant touch to the interior. The theme in 2020 is nature and one of the favourite colours is therefore green in all its shades. The dark and deep colours can mainly be seen in furniture and chairs, creating an accent in the decoration.
This combination of colours can be used in dining rooms, kitchens, bedrooms or rooms where guests are received. If you combine these colours with natural materials in the furniture, you create exactly the concept that will become so trendy in 2020: natural warm and welcoming environments to live in.
How can you decorate the walls?
With regard to trends in painting or decorating the walls or interior walls in 2020 I decided to go for a wallpaper with print. A tropical print on the walls to uplift the atmosphere in my kitchen worked wonders. It can have an artistic touch or simulate canvas so you get a beautiful piece of art.
Create an indoor garden
If you want to create a living space that breathes relaxation think about creating an indoor garden. This is perfect for a family. At the indoor garden full with beautiful plants you can place a small chair or armchair, so you can enjoy the silence and beauty of your garden.
