Inspired by the strong, vibrant women of the Mediterranean coast, Dolce & Gabbana has long sought to bring a touch of sensual feminity and color to strong, masculine designs that speak to the resilience of all the brilliant women who have come before us. While the fashion house has evolved, this core has remained the same. Recent red carpet appearances by celebrities sporting their Dolce & Gabbana pieces would seem to affirm this statement.
Tiffany Haddish
Actress and comedian, Tiffany Haddish, has been rocking the commanding, yet feminine, jacket/pantsuit combos on the red carpet this season. Her D&G look for the 2022 Grammy after-parties turned heads all night. The neon orange jacket accentuated her gorgeous hourglass figure while giving off strong I’m-not-to-be-trifled-with vibes with its angular silhouette.
Her most recent look was an homage to her upcoming role as Florence Joyner in the biopic about the illustrious track star. Donning the neon colors again, this hot pink Dolce & Gabbana pantsuit stunned onlookers at the premiere of Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It was the perfect blend of power and grace, just like Flo Jo herself.
While Haddish has been brandishing her dynamic suit and jacket ensembles as of late does not mean she doesn’t know how to wield an exquisite evening gown also. The 2022 Oscars were the actress’s night to showcase just how good she looks in green of every shade. The glittering elegance of her jeweled green event dress was only matched by the glammed-up, old Hollywood charm of her chartreuse after-party dress. Both gowns were custom made for her by the esteemable D&G.
America’s Got Talent
The popular national talent show is entering season 17 and you may peep some powerful ladies wearing some powerhouse D&G duds this year. Judges Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara were spotted filming cut scenes for this season of AGT, each sporting a Dolce & Gabbana look. Sofia looks phenomenal in the hot pink ensemble and Heidi demands attention in her masculine, 1980s-inspired besparkled jacket. Both ladies are giving the world boss babe energies this season.
Then at the AGT premier, Heidi looked like the emerald city incarnate in her gorgeous, D&G green-sequined, double-breasted suit from the fashion house’s 2022 Spring Menswear line. She paired it with some very futuristic shades and baroque-inspired heels with the iconic D&G logo inside. She was a glittering sight to behold. Fierce and feminine are trademarks of any of Heidi’s look and Dolce & Gabbana helped her pull this one off fabulously.
Vanity Fair Oscar Party
Tiffany Haddish wasn’t the only star to attend the Oscar after-party in D&G attire. Mindy Kaling strayed from her usual darker flair and graced the red carpet with a gown fit for a Grecian goddess. The draped, delicate yellow fabric paired with the unexpected crystalline bustier made her look like the warrior princess she is. She was absolutely stunning.
Halsey is a force of nature. So naturally she turns to the fashion house known for featuring feminine strength in their designs. She leaves little to the imagination in this custom Dolce and Gabbana piece. A sheer lace gown coupled with a provocative bodysuit and gold chained straps tells you she is in charge and knows it.
Jada Pinkett Smith walked the carpet arm in arm with the big winner of the night, and her husband, Will Smith but even her gown rivaled the statue in his hand. Her golden bodycon dress was embellished with thousands of Swarovski crystals and complemented with a flowy chiffon cape. She was a queen fit to walk beside her king in her D&G ensemble.
Kourtney Kardashian attended the Oscars as Travis Barker’s plus one but held her own on the red carpet as well. For the after-party, she turned to a vintage Dolce and Gabbana gown from their Fall 2004 collection. The nude and black detailing was covered in lace and Swarovski crystals.
Dolce and Gabbana Clothe the Powerful
One thing all of these ladies have in common is they are not afraid to flaunt their strength and resilience. They are powerful, unabashed women who will be how they are no matter what. Seems only fitting that they would be drawn to Dolce and Gabbana style to carry that message to the world.
